Exhaust Pipes, Air Intake, & Radiator - DONE.

Dad came down for the weekend and we got a lot of detail work done. We pulled the car out of the garage and took some pictures of our progress. We eliminated the stock brake distribution block and ran our lines directly to the brake master cylinder in order to eliminate some pesky brake line leaks. The side pipes arrived from Factory Five on Friday so we were able to install those finally. We fabricated some mounts for the electric cooling fan and got that mounted to the radiator. Got the rest of the intake and filter installed.

The side exhaust pipes are now installed!

Picture showing the intake elbow and filter. We ended up using a 3" PVC plumbing pipe elbow between the filter and intake.

The cooling fan is now mounted to the radiator. We used some ¼" aluminum U-channel from home depot to mount the fan to the radiator. We also finished the upper and lower radiator hose connections. For the lower hose we used the Autozone #xl1023 hose but had a local muffler shop Make us a custom 10"extension pipe with welded beads around the end (to help keep the hoses attached). We also had the shop put a slight bend in the pipe to help get around the X brace. Then we cut the XL1023 hose (which was slightly too short) and lengthened it with the pipe.

Here I am with the car.

Dad admiring the work we accomplished over the weekend.
