Lots of work completed

Lots of detail work done on the car. First off we switched the front timing cover of the 95 motor over to one off a 91 mustang. The reason for doing this is so we can use aftermarket accessory brackets. It seems nobody makes brackets for the 94-95 mustangs because they are sort of oddball years. The accessories are mounted about an inch closer and require the use of the massive ugly stock brackets. See below for before & after photos of the motor. By switching to an earlier timing cover, we can use an older water pump which has a longer snout on it. This brings the belt out away from the motor and leaves more room for the alternator and other accessories and also allows us to use many of the aftermarket brackets that are available for the earlier years.

Here are a list of things finished in the past month or so:

- Received California SB100 smog exemption!! This means our car willbe exempt from smog for the life of the vehicle.
- Installed older style timing cover and new timing cover seal.
- Installed new water pump.
- Installed aftermarket polished billet aluminum accessorybrackets
- Repainted and installed starter
- Repainted and installed power steering pump
- Installed Alternator
- Installed new aluminum radiator
- Finished fuel lines and connections to fuel rail
- Finished fuel vapor system
- Installed new thermostat
- Removed EGR emission canister and installed aluminum blockoff plate and header cap
- Installed donor headers and J-pipes from kit. Also installed o2 sensors into J-pipes
- Modified throttle cable bracket to eliminate cruise control and clean up appearance.
- Installed throttle cable from pedal to throttle body
- Installed coupling to attach MAF sensor to throttlebody. This includes tapping coupling for IAT sensor.

- Eliminated heater piping and installed ECT sensor directly into intake manifold.
- New spark plugs installed.

Crank dampener and old timing cover removed from front of motor.

Showing the starter installed and the old headers installed. We are going to use the old headers temporarily until we make sure everything runs good.

Showing the vapor box and the header and J-pipe routing. We will be replacing the headers and getting both the headers and J-pipes ceramic coated once all the bugs are worked out of the motor.

Front of motor before.

Front of motor currently. Much cleaner with the new accessory brackets.

New aluminum radiator installed. The bottom is temporarily attached with zipties. The bottom is attached after the body is installed.

Showing intake coupling and IAT and MAF sensors. Also shows fuel rail fuel line connections
